Breaking News: Immediate Closure of Basic Schools In Plateau State
The Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PSUBEB) has ordered the immediate closure of all schools across the state as follows:
- Government Junior Model Secondary Schools (GJMSSs) will close starting Saturday, 22 November 2025.
- Primary and Day Schools will close starting Monday, 24 November 2025.
According to the Board, the decision reflects an urgent need for precautionary measures. It emphasized that the shutdown is temporary but essential to prevent potential risks and to assure communities that the safety and wellbeing of learners remain a top priority.
PSUBEB urged Local Government Education Authorities, school heads, and community leaders to fully comply with the directive and maintain vigilance during this period.
