Plateau State is radiating with renewed pride and purpose as the Made in Plateau Carnival unfolds with exceptional vibrancy and momentum. The Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communication, Rt. Hon. Joyce Ramnap, hailed the event as a powerful testament to the state’s growing economic strength and limitless potential.
During her remarks at the opening ceremony, she conveyed heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, applauding his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to revitalizing and repositioning the state’s economy.
Spearheaded by the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA) in partnership with SMEDAN, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, PS-OSIC, GIZ-SEDIN, and other strategic collaborators, the carnival brought together a dynamic mix of entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, financial institutions, regulators, and industry leaders at the iconic Solomon Lar Amusement Park.
In her goodwill message, Hon. Ramnap underscored the importance of supporting and elevating indigenous businesses, stating:
“We are in an era of complementing businesses. We will continue to partner with and support local enterprises because Governor Mutfwang has a clear vision for economic rebirth and sustainable development in Plateau State.”
She further encouraged participants to seize the opportunities presented by the carnival, noting:

Representing Governor Mutfwang, the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, reaffirmed the “Time Is Now” administration’s resolute commitment to fostering innovation, enterprise expansion, and creativity across the state.
The Made in Plateau Carnival serves as a vibrant celebration of the state’s cultural heritage and flourishing economic landscape. Exhibitors proudly showcased an impressive variety of locally produced goods—from unique handicrafts to high-quality agricultural products—reflecting the ingenuity, skill, and enduring resilience of the Plateau people.
