The Jos Family Christmas Festival 3.0 is currently bringing excitement, culture, and family-friendly entertainment to Jos as it continues at the Christmas Village, Airforce Base Roundabout, Jonah Jang Way. The 10-day festival officially commenced on December 21 and will run through December 31, offering residents and visitors a vibrant mix of cultural showcases, entertainment, and educational activities in line with its theme, “Experience the Magic. Discover the Plateau.”
Speaking during the presentation of certificates and gifts to participants of the Primary and Secondary School Essay Competition, the General Manager of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation, Chuwang Pwajok, commended the students for their creativity, intelligence, and impressive understanding of Plateau State’s tourism potential. He described the competition as a strategic platform for nurturing young minds and instilling pride in the state’s rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and core values.
Pwajok emphasized that engaging children through intellectual activities such as essay writing promotes tourism education from an early age, while also encouraging critical thinking and responsible citizenship. He applauded teachers and parents for their guidance and dedication, and commended the organizers of the Jos Family Christmas Festival for sustaining an initiative that successfully blends learning with celebration.
Beyond the essay competition, the event also featured Little Miss Tourism, a lively DJ and Dance Competition, and an exciting Raffle Draw, adding colour and entertainment to the children’s fun fair segment of the festival.
