A pilgrim, yet to be identified, has been arrested in Medina for allegedly attempting to take the life of his sick father inside the revered Prophet’s Mosque.
According to reports, the suspect was apprehended after he was seen trying to harm his father within the mosque premises. Security operatives swiftly intervened and took him into custody.
During interrogation, the pilgrim reportedly claimed he believed that if his father died in the holy mosque, it would guarantee him entry into paradise.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have since detained the suspect as investigations continue. The incident was reported to have occurred in February 2026, according to Golf Insider.
