The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined Nigerians at home and abroad in commemorating the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message, Governor Mutfwang described the occasion as both a milestone of pride and a moment for sober reflection on Nigeria’s journey so far. He emphasized the need for renewed dedication to peace, unity, and national transformation to improve the welfare and well-being of all citizens.
The Governor paid tribute to the nation’s founding fathers, acknowledging their courage, resilience, and shared vision which laid the groundwork for Nigeria’s freedom.
“It is with great pride and humility that I felicitate with Nigerians everywhere on this 65th Independence Anniversary. This moment challenges us to reflect on our unity, peace, and progress as a people. We are confident that, with God’s help, Nigeria will rise above its challenges and fulfill its promise of greatness,” he said.
Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to build a Plateau founded on peace, security, and prosperity. He assured citizens of his commitment to protecting lives and property, advancing infrastructural development, and fostering unity across ethnic and religious divides through fairness, justice, and inclusiveness in governance.
On behalf of the government and people of Plateau State, he extended warm congratulations to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and to all Nigerians. He prayed for wisdom, resilience, and integrity for the nation’s leaders, and for peace and harmony to reign across the country.
