A monitoring group, NetBlocks, says the internet blockade imposed by Iranian authorities across the country after the US-Israeli attacks began has extended to one month.
Net blocks made this revelation on Saturday as the conflict reached one month.
“Exactly one month ago on Saturday morning, 28 February, Iran was plunged into digital darkness as authorities cut off access to the global internet.
“After four full weeks, 672 hours, the blackout remains in effect, violating Iranians’ right to communicate and stay informed,” it said.
According to NetBlocks, the lack of internet makes it hard for civilians to communicate and to be alerted about incoming attacks.
Recall that the United States, in conjunction with Israel struck Iran on February 28, killing the Iranian Supreme Leader as well as many other government officials.
The war has continued with exchange of drones and missiles between the United States/Israel and Iran.
