The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, led by Tanimu Turaki, is currently in a closed-door meeting with the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), chaired by Adolphus Wabara.

The meeting, taking place in Abuja, marks the third gathering by the faction within the week, signaling intensified efforts to address internal disputes.

At a similar meeting held on Wednesday, Turaki disclosed that his faction remains open to reconciliation with the camp aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. He noted that there are encouraging signs that both sides are moving closer to reaching a truce.

On its part, the caretaker committee led by Abdulrahman Mohamed, which is backed by Wike, has also expressed willingness to reconcile, though it insists that its proposed national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30 must proceed as planned.

Key figures present at the ongoing meeting include former Niger State governor Babangida Aliyu, former Kano State governor Ibrahim Shekarau, and former Minister of Information, Jerry Gana.
