Kwara United midfielder, Mohammed Kabiru, has attributed his team’s recent impressive performances in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, to togetherness.

The Harmony Boys have recorded only one defeat from their last eight matches in the NPFL.

The impressive run saw the Ilorin-based side moved out of relegation zone.

Kwara United halted Barau FC five-game unbeaten run in a matchday 35 fixture in Ilorin on Sunday.

Mohammed insisted that the players have rediscovered their fighting spirit at a decisive stage of the season.

“You know as players, we have to come together as one run together, fight together,” Mohammed told Owosport.

“We had a meeting and decided to fight for each other, Our target at the start of the season was to push for a continental place, not relegation.

“So we just decided to want it more.”
