Legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, was taken to hospital after falling unwell at Old Trafford.
The incident happened before Sunday’s Premier League clash between the Red Devils and Liverpool.
The BBC reports that it was a precautionary move and not an emergency situation.
However, Ferguson was driven from the stadium in an ambulance.
United officials are optimistic Ferguson will recover soon enough to return home.
Michael Carrick’s men are looking to pick up at least a point that will see them qualify for next season’s Champions League.
