Nigerian singer Skales has shared his opinion on why football money is better than music money, sparking conversations online.
According to the artist, football offers players a more stable and predictable source of income than the music industry.
“Football money is greater than music money. You don’t need to be a starter to bag serious cash,” Skales said.
He explained that even players who sit on the bench still earn steady salaries as long as they are signed to clubs.
“As long as you’re in a club, you’re getting paid regularly and living comfortably,” he added.
Skales noted that the music industry can be uncertain because popularity can rise and fall quickly.
“You can be hot today and less relevant tomorrow. Staying consistent at the top takes a lot,” he said.
He also pointed out that only a few musicians remain relevant and successful for many years.
However, the singer admitted that music can still create long-term wealth for artists with strong catalogs.
“Your songs can keep generating income for life,” Skales stated.
