Kanam Local Government Area was filled with jubilation as Hon. Ephraim Usman, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, commissioned two new classroom blocks in Bakin Kasuwa, Gwamlar Ward, and Gar Bagyar Ward. This marks another milestone in his commitment to improving education in the area, following last year’s initiative where he built and commissioned two classroom blocks in Ga’ar Shye and Ga’ar Nangai.

During the event, Hon. Usman also distributed 1,200 wrappers to women across the LGA on behalf of his wife, Mrs. Grace Usman. Furthermore, he presented 60 motorcycles to beneficiaries, procured by LGA Chairman Hon. Ayuba Salihu Musa.

In his address, Hon. Usman emphasized the importance of tangible development under Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s “The Time is Now” initiative. He urged an end to unfulfilled promises and exaggerated achievements in Kanam, cautioning against politicians who prioritize publicity over genuine empowerment.

“We’re not just talking about empowerment – we’re delivering it,” Hon. Usman declared. “Beneficiaries will receive their items right here, and soon, we’ll distribute 10 trucks of fertilizer to ease farming costs. The Governor’s developmental projects are visible, and more are on the way.”

Hon. Ayuba Salihu Musa expressed gratitude for the people’s support, assuring them of further initiatives beyond transportation aid. He mentioned upcoming fertilizer distribution and additional developmental projects.

Executive PA to the Governor, Mr. Moses Nwan, praised the synergy between Hon. Usman and Hon. Ayuba, encouraging them to sustain their efforts. He urged the people to collaborate with the government and remain optimistic about the progress ahead.

The event was attended by traditional rulers, LGA party officials, and community leaders, who expressed their support for the ongoing transformation in Kanam LGA.
