JAMB Sets 2025/2026 University Admission Cut-Off At 150
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially set the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities at 150 for the 2025/2026 academic session. This decision was finalized during the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Official Cut-Off Marks by Institution Type:
Universities: 150
Polytechnics: 100
Colleges of Education: 100
Colleges of Nursing Sciences: 140
Colleges of Agriculture: 100
Although some newly established private universities advocated for a lower cut-off mark of 120, and JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, initially recommended 160, the stakeholders eventually agreed on 150 as the benchmark for university admissions.

JAMB also unveiled the top scorers of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) during the meeting:
