Following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has officially received his membership card of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Rufus Bature.
The APC membership card was presented to the Mangu Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Garkuwa, by the Ampang West Ward Chairman of the party, Hon. Pius Shehu Dakup.
Presenting the Membership card, the Plateau State APC Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature, said the Governor’s decision to join the party came at the right time and described it as a historic moment for Plateau State.
He explained that Governor Mutfwang had accepted the vision of the APC, especially the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and said the move showed clear direction and purpose.

Hon. Bature then presented the APC membership card to the Governor, confirming that he had met all the party’s requirements, and officially welcomed him as a full member with all rights and privileges.
While receiving his APC membership card, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang said his decision to join the party came after prayers, wide consultations, and deep reflection, adding that it was taken in the best interest of Plateau State.
He thanked leaders across party lines who supported him over the years and said his long-standing desire was to see Plateau united, stressing that the state is bigger than personal or political differences.
The Governor said his move marked the beginning of a new era of unity, noting that former divisions in Plateau politics must give way to cooperation, peace, and shared purpose for development.

Governor Mutfwang assured party members that his leadership would be inclusive, promising to respect elders, empower women, encourage youths, and carry along all groups in the state without discrimination.
He reaffirmed his full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying his decision would help Plateau State gain stronger representation at the national level and deliver greater benefits to the people.
