Alex Iwobi, midfielder for the Super Eagles, was reportedly the victim of a violent burglary at his residence in the United Kingdom, with attackers making off with items worth around £500,000.
According to reports by Daily Sports, Iwobi was allegedly held at knifepoint during the incident. The burglars are said to have stolen designer wristwatches, jewellery, two iPhones, a MacBook laptop, and roughly £200,000 in cash.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack. Iwobi had played for Fulham FC the previous weekend, helping the Cottagers secure a 3-1 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.
