The Plateau State Government has announced the relaxation of the curfew earlier imposed on Jos North following the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba.

In a statement issued on March 31, 2026, the government said the decision was taken after relative calm was restored in the area.

Under the new directive, the curfew will be relaxed to allow movement from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, effective April 1, 2026, enabling residents to carry out their lawful activities within the stipulated hours.

The state government, led by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, urged citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding as security agencies continue to monitor the situation to maintain peace and order.

It also appreciated residents for their cooperation and resilience during the curfew period, reiterating its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.

The statement was signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Lohya Ramnap.
