Nigerian singer Skales has lashed out at former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad, accusing him of being insensitive and sympathetic to terrorists.
The reaction followed Ahmad’s call on security agencies to investigate and apprehend U.S. missionary Alex Barbir after he criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the Palm Sunday attack in Jos, which reportedly left several people dead.
In his earlier statement, Ahmad warned that individuals inciting unrest should be dealt with decisively, adding that foreigners calling for chaos would not face the same consequences as Nigerians.
Reacting, Skales strongly condemned Ahmad’s position, blaming him and the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari for the country’s security challenges.
In a series of posts, the singer expressed anger over the killings and questioned Ahmad’s priorities, accusing him of focusing on the wrong issues at a time when lives had been lost.
Skales’ comments, which included harsh criticism and personal attacks, have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some users supporting his outrage while others faulted his choice of words.
The exchange adds to the growing public debate over insecurity and accountability in Nigeria following the recent attack.
