NWFL: Sunshine Queens sack Kayode Olujohungbe

Sunshine Queens have sacked their head coach, Kayode Olujohungbe, DAILY POST reports.

The management of the club announced Olujohungbe’s disengagement in a statement on Friday.

Sunshine Queens stated that the decision was taken after a thorough review of the team’s performance, and they believe it is necessary to make changes to get the team back on track.

The Akure-based side expressed gratitude to the coach for his efforts and contributions to the team and wished him well in his future endeavours.

Olujohungbe guided Sunshine Queens to two wins, six draws and five defeats in 13 matches.

Sunshine Queens occupy ninth position on the NWFL Group B table with 12 points.
