Nigerian gospel rapper Abe1os officially premiered his highly anticipated 14-track album ‘The Vision’ at an exclusive listening session held at Nexus Studio, Koronjo House in Jos. The intimate event marked a significant moment in his musical journey, offering attendees a first-hand experience of the project’s sound, message, and creativity.
The premiere attracted a mix of families, on-air personalities, bloggers, producers, artists, poets, and key stakeholders within the music industry. Guests were treated to a rich atmosphere of music, networking, and artistic expression.
Abe1os reflected on the strong spiritual foundation laid by his parents, Reverend and Mrs. Edward Ali. He noted that his upbringing in Mangu Local Government Area, rooted in Christian values, discipline, and community, played a defining role in shaping his life and art.
He further revealed that beyond music, he has built a career as a marine engineer, a path that has influenced his disciplined approach to life and creativity. His music is deeply message-driven, focusing on identity, purpose, and spiritual growth.
The artist explained that The Vision was born out of personal experiences, especially his transition from university life into adulthood and professional responsibility. Key life lessons from his father about origin, identity, and destination became central to the album’s theme.
Abe1os described the creative process as deeply reflective and spiritual, birthed from peace, joy, love, and gratitude. He acknowledged the contributions of featured artists; Israel Ochigbo, Tanmicit, and Sage Baba, noting that their collaborations added depth to the album’s sound and message.
Despite challenges such as time constraints, financial demands, and coordinating with multiple producers, he remained committed to the vision. He emphasized consistency, patience, and faith as his driving forces.
The album premiere also featured live performances by Neken Chuwang, Damaris, and Zic Music, who enriched the event with their musical contributions and added to the celebratory atmosphere.
During the unveiling, Dr. Steve Dowo offered heartfelt prayers for Abe1os, asking for divine guidance, strength, and greater impact through his music ministry. He encouraged attendees to support the artist and contribute toward the growth of the project.
Commending Abe1os, Dr. Abel Daniel Ochigbo praised his strong devotion to God, consistency, and commitment to his musical vision. He noted that gospel rap is a powerful tool for reaching audiences beyond traditional ministry.
OAP Morgan Tok of KT FM Jos, popularly known as Big Blunt, commended Abe1os and assured him of continuous support through radio airplay. He encouraged the artist to remain consistent and humble as success grows.
Neken Chuwang has pledged to support Abe1os through his NGO, the Creative Catalyst Foundation, offering structured assistance to help sustain and expand the reach of his gospel rap ministry.
OAP Pedro Omobolaji of JayFM Jos commended Abe1os for his effort toward the success of his album and encouraged him to keep pushing forward in his music career.
In his vote of thanks, Rev. Edward Ali thanked God and everyone for their prayer, financial, and moral support for his son, Abel. He recalled how an immigration officer warned that Abel could be lost morally and spiritually at sea, prompting the family to pray fervently. Rev. Ali rejoiced that Abel stood firm, shared Christ with a Hindu colleague, and now uses rap music as a ministry.
