Again, Tafan Grassroot Disciples Endorse Pharm. Chun John for Reps

Another political support group, Grassroot Disciples from Tafan Federal Ward in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, has endorsed Hon. Pharm. Chun Ezekiel John (CJ) for the position of Member representing Barkin Ladi–Riyom Federal Constituency.

The group which consists of stakeholders including Men, Women and youth, declared its support for his aspiration ahead of the 2027 elections, describing him as a capable and people-oriented leader with the vision and commitment to deliver effective representation under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Chairman of Grassroot Disciples in Tafan Federal Ward, Dung G. Pam, said the group’s endorsement of Hon. Pharm. Chun Ezekiel John was based on his consistent impact and close relationship with the people over the years.

He noted that despite not holding any elective position, the aspirant has demonstrated capacity through continuous empowerment of youths, women, and the elderly, as well as his commitment to grassroots development.

“Even though he has never held any elective position, he has been doing well. He has been empowering youths, women, eldersand that is why many of us believe in his ability to lead,” he said.

Pam added that among all the aspirants, Chun stands out as the most credible and capable, urging constituents across Tafan and beyond to rally behind him, expressing confidence that his election would bring greater development to the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the elders, Dauda Gung Masok pledged their full support for the aspirant, describing him as a leader with a good heart and transparency. He urged the people of Tafan to mobilize others to register for APC membership and obtain their voter cards in order to strengthen support for the aspirant ahead of the elections.

On behalf of the women, Victoria Joshua urged constituents to turn out in large numbers to support the candidacy of Hon. Pharm. Chun Ezekiel John, appealing to him to remember and empower women and young people if elected.

Speaking on behalf of the youth, Gung called for meaningful and inclusive development that will benefit all residents of Tafan Ward, stating that their support for Hon. Pharm. Chun Ezekiel John reflects their belief in his superior capacity to deliver compared to other aspirants.

In his response, Hon. Pharm. Chun Ezekiel John expressed deep appreciation to the Grassroot Disciples of Tafan Federal Ward for endorsing him as their preferred representative, describing the gesture as a strong demonstration of trust and confidence.

He said the endorsement strengthens his connection with the people and reinforces his determination to pursue his ambition to serve at the National Assembly.

According to him, “The National Assembly is like a home to me, and your support is what will give me the access and strength to get there and serve effectively.”

He assured the group that if elected, he would prioritize job creation for young people, ensuring that youths are meaningfully engaged and empowered.

He also promised not to forget the elderly and vulnerable, pledging to enroll them in health insurance schemes and improve access to healthcare support.

He further appealed for continuous mobilization of support across Tafan and beyond, assuring that he would protect the interests of the people and deliver purposeful representation if given the mandate.
