Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency, alongside his wife, Hajiya Laila, has rewarded one of their staff members, Usman Lawal Modibo, with a Peugeot 406 car in recognition of his honesty, dedication, and commitment to duty.
Presenting the vehicle, Gagdi described the beneficiary as a highly dependable staff who has played a key role in coordinating activities between their Abuja office, constituency aides, and his wife’s private engagements.
According to him, “He is the one organizing our secretariat in Abuja. He manages communication between our aides at home and Abuja, as well as my wife’s private business activities.”
The lawmaker commended Modibo’s integrity, noting that he remains one of the most honest individuals he has worked with over the years, despite not being an indigene of Plateau State.
“He is from Keffi in Nasarawa State, but he has shown uncommon loyalty. This is someone who can take over 50 Uber trips in a day just to ensure everything runs smoothly,” Gagdi added.
He further emphasized that managing the schedules and responsibilities attached to his office and family requires patience and resilience, qualities he said the staff had consistently demonstrated.
“For you to coordinate my activities and that of my wife, you must be patient. Many would have resigned, but you stayed and remained committed,” he said.
Gagdi disclosed that the gesture was initiated by his wife, who insisted that the staff’s dedication should be rewarded, describing the car gift as a token of appreciation.
He noted that the recognition follows a similar gesture previously extended to a former party secretary, adding that such rewards are aimed at encouraging diligence and loyalty among staff.
Presenting the car key to Usman Lawal Modibo, Hajiya Laila expressed deep appreciation for his dedication, hard work, and honesty, describing such qualities as rare.
According to her, “This is simply to say thank you for your dedication, hard work, and honesty. These qualities are very rare. We have tried so many people in the past who failed us repeatedly, but you have remained dependable.”
She added that the gesture was not only to appreciate his commitment but also to encourage him to continue giving his best in service.
