The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University, Vom, Plateau State, Prof. Yakubu Yerima Jabil, has officially assumed office with a promise to reposition the institution for greater academic excellence, institutional growth, and global relevance.
Speaking shortly after taking over leadership of the university, Prof. Jabil reaffirmed his commitment to driving strategic transformation anchored on integrity, innovation, quality leadership, and faith-based education.
According to him, the university remains focused on delivering holistic and technology-driven education that will shape students into responsible leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
“Our mission is clear, to provide holistic, faith-based and technology-driven education that fosters intellectual growth, ethical leadership, research excellence and community service for sustainable national and global education,” he stated.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need for collaboration among staff, students, and stakeholders in advancing the vision of the institution and strengthening its academic and moral standards.
In his remarks, the outgoing pioneer Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nanven Audu Gambo, expressed gratitude to God for a successful tenure at the institution and charged the new Vice Chancellor to remain prayerful and committed to the enormous responsibilities of the office.
Prof. Gambo also appreciated members of staff and stakeholders for their support, dedication, and contributions toward the progress recorded during his administration, noting that the achievements made were possible through collective effort and cooperation.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the Registrar of the institution, Mr. Benjamin Dachomo, assured Prof. Jabil of the full support and cooperation of the university management and staff to ensure a successful tenure.
Karl Kumm University, established by the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), continues to position itself as a faith-based institution committed to academic excellence, moral discipline, and impactful community service.
