The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Peter Obi, has blasted the Renewed Hope Agenda of president Bola Tinubu.
In an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics’, Obi described the agenda as ‘failure and renewed hopelessness’.
He said he would provide real hope, tangible hope that people would see if he is elected as President.
According to him, Tinubu’s policies had failed to inspire confidence or improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
When asked whether his vision of rebuilding the economy through production resembled the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Obi rejected the comparison.
“No, no. That’s renewed hopelessness. It’s not working,” he said.
The former Anambra state governor insisted that Nigerians needed what he described as real hope built on visible progress rather than political messaging.
“The kind of hope I’ll bring is real hope tangible hope that people will see and feel,” he added.
