A former member of the National Assembly, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has formally resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a resignation letter dated December 2, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Vwang Ward in Jos South Local Government Area, Hon. Bagos announced that his decision takes immediate effect.
Bagos, who represented the Jos South–Jos East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2019 to November 2023, explained that his resignation followed deep reflection and extensive consultations.
In the letter, the former lawmaker expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership and members at the ward, local government, state, and national levels for the support and cooperation he received throughout his time in the party. He noted that his association with the PDP played a significant role in his growth in public service and political engagement.
“I remain sincerely grateful to the party leadership and members for the goodwill I enjoyed during my time in the party,” he stated, adding that he holds the party and its leadership in high esteem.
Hon. Bagos wished the PDP continued success in its pursuit of democracy and good governance, while thanking the party for the opportunity to serve. He concluded by requesting that the letter be accepted as his formal notice of resignation.
As of the time of filing this report, Hon. Bagos has not disclosed his next political move or indicated whether he plans to join another political party.
