A senior clergy member of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Sunday B. Agang, has been abducted in Plateau State.
The cleric was reportedly taken in the early hours of the day from his residence in Farin Gada, Jos, by unknown gunmen. The incident was confirmed by a source at the ECWA headquarters in the state.
A message circulated on the church’s official WhatsApp platform also confirmed the development, urging members and the public to pray for his safety and quick release.
The message described the incident as distressing and called on believers to seek divine intervention for the safe return of the cleric.
The abduction comes amid growing concerns over insecurity, following a similar incident in Kwara State where eight ECWA members were reportedly kidnapped.
