A cleric with the Church of Christ in Nations, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has revealed his past involvement in a bank robbery that occurred in 1980 in Jos.
Dachomo made the disclosure during a recent interview with a foreign media outlet, admitting that he was part of a gang that carried out the operation and escaped with a substantial amount of money. He noted that the robbery was led by a close associate at the time.
Reflecting on his past, the cleric recounted a spiritual experience he described as a turning point in his life. According to him, the encounter led to a profound personal transformation and marked the end of his involvement in criminal activities.
He explained that prior to this experience, he was unaware of the extent of his actions, but the moment of spiritual awakening changed his outlook completely. Dachomo added that following the encounter, he abandoned habits such as smoking and embraced a new path of faith and service.
The cleric’s revelation has sparked reactions, as he openly acknowledged his criminal past while emphasizing his journey of repentance and transformation.
