Paul Onuachu is closing on another record in Turkey after scoring in Trabzonspor’s 2-1 home win over title rivals Galatasaray last weekend.
The goal was Onuachu’s 22nd in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
The Nigeria international is now three goals from matching the record of the most prolific foreign player ever for Trabzonspor in a single season.
The 31-year-old will surpass the previous mark held by Shota Arvelade (25 goals) should he score four goals before the end of the season.
Onuachu has six games to achieve the feat this season.
The tall striker is also currently the leading scorer in the Turkish Super Lig.
