Victor Boniface has returned to Werder Bremen after undergoing rehabilitation at Bayer Leverkusen, DAILY POST reports.
Boniface went under the knife in January after sustaining an injury in training.
The Nigeria international was earlier ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The 24-year-old could however return to action before the end of the campaign.
Boniface joined Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
He has registered two assists in 12 league appearances for the Greens.
