U-20 WWCQ: ‘We’re here to win’

Falconets head coach Moses Aduku has declared that his team want to do the double over Malawi.

The Nigerian girls are in  Lilongwe for the second leg of their  2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against the Young Scorchers.

Aduku’s side have a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

The reverse fixture will hold at the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday.

The gaffer said his players are prepared to withstand the pressure of the hosts.

“We are here to play and to win. The players understand the importance of this match, and we are fully prepared mentally, tactically, and physically for the challenge ahead,” Aduku told a press conference on Friday.

The encounter is scheduled for 3pm Malawi time (2pm Nigeria time).
