The JBWC Tradefair 3.0 opened on November 29th at Tamarald Event Centre, Old Airport Road, Jos, marking another milestone in celebrating entrepreneurship, innovation, and women-led businesses across Plateau State.
Hosted by Jos Business Women Connect (JBWC), the two-day event brought together hundreds of vendors and buyers in a colourful, bustling marketplace filled with ideas, creativity, and opportunity. Beginning at 9AM daily, the venue transformed into a lively hub where Plateau women showcased their resilience, skills, and business excellence.
The fair commenced with remarks from the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Caroline Dafu-Panglan, who emphasized the state’s continued commitment to supporting women’s economic advancement. She praised Plateau women for their hard work and evolution over the years, highlighting the significant growth in participation, visibility, and organization since the 2023 edition.
Her message reinforced the importance of Women Economic Empowerment (WEE), stressing that financial independence strengthens both individual women and their households. She also assured participants of the government’s ongoing support throughout the administration’s tenure.
Beyond the speeches, JBWC Tradefair 3.0 offered a rich display of entrepreneurial diversity. Vendors showcased an impressive selection of products, including:

- Food, groceries, and local snacks
- Beauty and wellness products
- Makeup and skincare items
- Handcrafted goods and home essentials
- Kitchenware, household items, and appliances
Buyers explored stalls with excitement, discovering brands, sampling products, and engaging directly with business owners. The environment was warm and interactive, full of music, conversations, learning, and genuine support.
